On the occasion of the 39th Congress of theUnion compagnonnique, we have the honour of welcoming François Icher, reference historian of the Companionage and recognized specialist in the history of trades, for an exceptional conference in the prestigious setting of the Campus Versailles, in the heart of the King's Great Ecuries.
Through his speech entitled « Corporations, trades and companionships », François Icher will offer an exciting insight into centuries of history know-how, corporations and companion societies. This conference will provide a better understanding of the evolution of the professions, the values that shaped the Companion, and the permanence of an ever-living heritage, inscribed since 2010 in UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage.
