Join the Companions of the Companion Union in the context of learning and the Tour de France

The Companion Union welcomes young people, boys and girls, from 16 years old, in training or with a minimum C.A.P.

After the first contact with the Companions, you will be summoned to Cayenne to have an interview and discover the Companions, Aspirants and Youth.

If your application is successful, you will be recognized as « Associate » Companion Union as soon as your registration file has been validated. Like all associations, it is requested to pay an annual contribution that varies from city to city.

One « Sponsor » You will be appointed. He will follow you throughout your journey.

You can then start your « Tour de France ».

Join the Companion Union as a sedentary

Since its creation, the Union Compagnonnique also addresses professionals who have not had the opportunity to make their Tour de France being younger; It is therefore possible to apply to the Union up to 37 years and to follow the path of companionship as a « sedentary ». Applications for derogations may also be given special attention beyond 37 years depending on the candidate's career path. Admission requirements: capacity and professional conscience, moral guarantees and willingness to transmit.

A network of partnerships: initial training, alternance training, continuing vocational training

The Companion was for a long time the only opportunity for young workers to perfect their professional skills through the evening classes offered by the Companions who wanted to pass on their knowledge.

The Companion Union does not operate a training centre of the CFA type or vocational high school to offer qualified or graduate training.

However, aware of the need to be able to advise and accompany young people in the best possible conditions, the Companion Union has established partnerships with various training centres at national level.

These partnerships allow applicants to enrol in training centres « classics » with a privileged accompaniment from the Companions during the learning period while being registered as « member » the nearest Cayenne and thus enjoy the benefits of the Companionage. Companions' professional accompaniment, in addition to the initial training period, is an essential asset for obtaining the diploma prepared (CAP, BP, Bac Pro, DNMA, BTS...).

Once this first diploma has been obtained, the « member » may continue to pursue further training or leave on the Tour le France.

The Companion Union is not a classical training centre but an association keen to continue the work of improvement and transmission offered by the Companionage in the context of the experience of the voyage and the various stages to become Companion of the Tour de France des Devoirs Unis.

In order to continue the professional development of its members, the Companion Union offers many possibilities to become a complete worker.

Evening classes

The Companion Union organises vocational, technical and practical education courses open to apprentices and young workers wishing to improve their skills. These courses operate either through the own means of each Cayenne or with the collaboration of other organizations.

Price increases

The « trade groups »The young workers and apprentices are thus monitored by the Companions as part of their professional progress by making drawings and mock-ups to be presented at the various national or regional meetings. The follow-up of its progress, validated annually by the Companions, is essential in order to claim admission and reception.

Career development courses

The trade groups regularly organise professional development courses in different regions. These courses are compulsory in order to present admission and reception. During these courses collective works are organised in the form of models or in real situation of construction. These courses are also an exceptional opportunity to discover the Cayennes who welcome them and share moments between young people from different cities under the caring responsibility of the Companions.

Professional development courses are open to all professionals wishing to discover the Companion Union and all trades. This diversity is one of the Union's essential assets.
