Lucas High School in Nehou, our partner training for the glass trades, organized this Tuesday 6 December the Verriers annual conference in the context of the International Year of Glass.
Initially scheduled at the University of Jussieu, it was finally at the Paris headquarters of our friends of the Association Ouvrière des Compagnons du Tour et du Tour de France that this meeting brought together more than 80 participants (students in CAP stained glass and decoration on glass, BMA glass decorator, FCND paint on glass, DNMADE).
Several professionals intervened:
- Thomas Arnal of the Glass Company: glass decorator,
- Laura Savry-Cattan: glass artist,
- Croce Costa AFV and Pascal Wirth: miroier-decorators and « Diamond », glass artist.
The first intervention was led by a Companion Union's companion to make a brief history on the Glass Companions of the Devoir (founded in 1701 and which joined the Companion Union at the end of the 19th century) and on the partnership signed almost two years ago with the Lucas high school in Nehou to reinvigorate a tour of France among the young vitraillists.
