A Future in Hand: A Tool to Discover Crafts and Heritage

In a context where craft and heritage trades seek to create new vocations, the Avenir platform is a particularly interesting tool to discover.

Available for free online, this site offers a real gateway to more than 300 professions and tens of thousands of training courses throughout France. It is aimed at young people seeking guidance as well as adults undergoing retraining or professionals wishing to better understand existing paths.

Thought as a simple and intuitive web-application, the platform allows:
Explore different trade families (art crafts, built heritage, gastronomy, landscape, tourism...)
To find suitable training according to its criteria (level, duration, location, alternation)
Discovering sometimes unknown but meaningful occupations
To orientate with an interactive quiz that helps each one to identify the trades corresponding to their aspirations

Scope of the Campus Versailles — partnerUnion compagnonnique — alongside many actors involved in the transmission of know-how, Avenir en main is part of a clear will: to make trades visible, to convey know-how and to accompany tomorrow's vocations.

At a time when the transmission of trades is at the heart of the Companion's concerns, this digital tool offers a complementary resource to raise awareness of the richness and diversity of possible routes.

👉 An initiative to discover for all those who wish to orientate, transmit or simply better understand the trades that build and maintain our heritage and then engage in the tour of France with the Companions of theUnion compagnonnique
