Companions of the Companion Union working in fashion and leather are structured within a « Business Group » in order to monitor the progress of courses of young apprentices and itinerants: drawings and models must be regularly presented to the Companions before they can claim to become aspiring and Companion.
Once enrolled in a training centre and the Companion Union, young learners are invited to participate in the various professional development courses offered by the Trade Group in different cities.

There is no diploma in this profession. Confirmed professionals performing this activity may nevertheless continue their journey to the Companion Union.
TEXTILE AND CUIR METALS:
Many textile trades were once represented in the Companion. Most of them have now disappeared (dyes, weavers and ironsmiths, whites-chamoiseurs, cordiers) but we keep their memory through their archives in particular. Nevertheless, some have survived through the craft of art and know-how of excellence. If you are a recognized professional in any of these activities you can join the Companion Union.
