On 3 and 4 September 2022 the National Meeting of the Itinerant and Sedentary of the Union Companion to the City of Bois took place in the Paris region
More than 130 members and aspirants made the move for an appointment that hadn't taken place in three years. Also present were the companions of the board of directors, the fellow delegates of the trade groups, the first-in-city companions of the various cities of the Tour de France, and the Mother of the Cayenne d'Harfleur, Madame Duchemin.
For the first time since the creation of this event in the 1980s, About 20 women in the trades were present, including several candidates admitted since the vote in favour of women entering the Companion Union in 2020.
Partnerships signed by the Union since 2021 with various training centres have enabled several young apprentices under the age of 18 to be present as well. These young people reinvigorate a tour of France in fields where companions were almost more present and partnerships with School of Glass Arts Lucas de Nehou (Paris) and CFA Academy of Crafts (Pantin) played a key role in this renewal.
It was also the occasion of meetings with representatives of other training centres.privileged partners of the Companion Union : Jean Monnet building trades school (Montrouge), the Versailles Art Trades Campus, CPF (Brive) and Action Council Training (Narbonne).
As a result of this gathering a new office of young homeless and sedentary was elected and projects are already numerous for the coming year: communication, reception, roaming, improvement...
