La Maison LEJEUNE apporte son soutien à l’Union Compagnonnique

The House LEJEUNE supports the Companion Union and the Journal Le Compagnonnage by becoming an advertiser.

Franck Lejeune is a long-time friend of the Companion Union's fellow cooks. Sharing the Companion's values of transmissions, traditions and innovations, he wished to support the Union's companions by becoming an advertiser in the quarterly newspaper The Companionage.

The history of the LEJEUNE House originated in the late 19th century, in Normandy. At that time Victor LEJEUNE travelled the roads to tinker the copper kitchen batteries of the farmers of the region.

In 1930, his son Francis « up » in Paris and set up its workshop in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. It spreads the copper pots of the largest hotels and restaurants of the time and starts selling new equipment.

In 1973, due to the significant development of the sale of equipment, Michel and Christiane LEJEUNE moved to Asnières (Hautes-de-Seine) at the gates of Paris. The new premises allow for better compliance with the standards imposed on their tinning plant and for a larger storage area and facilitate the delivery and dispatch of kitchen and pastry equipment.

In 1993, Franck LEJEUNE integrates society and strives to modernise the company while maintaining the spirit of tradition and service that makes the reputation of this house that has adapted to all developments and maintained its family dimension.

In 1997, the website is launched and opens the doors of international. A specific department dedicated to hotel schools and CFA is developed for the design and supply of knife cases.

In 2017, The company is always relocated to Asnières. In addition to a new tinning and sharpening workshop, these new premises allow to expand storage capacity while remaining close to Paris customers and logistics points for export. One part is dedicated to the store and allows to welcome a clientele of professionals and individuals.

Today, 90 years later, 8,500 kitchen utensils and pastries are available directly to their store. A table arts exhibition room has been created to offer catering professionals a wide range of table products. The tinning shop is more active than ever with nearly 200 tinned parts per day.

Close collaboration with industry in France and Europe allows the development of new utensils that meet the specific requirements of professional customers (solidity, hygiene, safety, comfort).
